Cichlasomatini tribe includes several freshwater cichlid fish endemic to South America. Species include: Acaronia Aequidens, Bujurquina, Cichlasoma, Cleithracara, Krobia, Tahuantinsuyoa, Aequidens pulcher, Nannacara and Laetacara

Cichlini

Cichlini is a genus of fifteen described species of fish from the family Cichlidae. The genus includes several species valued as game fish, collectively known as peacock bass, and is also of interest to cichlid keeping aquarists.

Crenicichlini

The tribe Crenicichlini includes two genera: Crenicichla, also referred as Pike Cichlids are found in streams, rivers, lakes and smaller pools around the Amazon region. Teleocichla, a small genus of seven cichlid formally described species and several undescribed species, endemic to the Amazon River Basin in South America.

Geophagini

Geophagini is a tribe of South American Cichlids including the following sub species. Apistogramma, Apistogrammoides, Biotodoma, Geophagus, Gymnogeophagus, Mikrogeophagus, Satanoperca and Taeniacara.
