The Captive Sun Deluxe Hood was easy to install. I would recommend the CoralVue ReefLux 10000K MH lights for the hood. The fan system was more than adequate to handle the heat generated by the MH bulbs. Also, the ballast runs cooler than most ballasts I have used or seen. I think this is a solid buy for the money and you won’t be disappointed. The only drawback (if you want to call it that) is that there’s no internal LED moon light system.
This light hood is amazing! I use one 175w 10000k Hamilton MH, and 2 75w Super Actnic in it. It fits right on top of my Redsea Max. Now I have 9.66 Watts per gallon on my Max. Could not be happier!!!
